500 free onsite menu and mealtime reviews on offer
Until 9 June, the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is inviting expressions of interest for residential aged care providers to receive a free, onsite menu and mealtime review from an accredited practising dietitian.
The Menu and Mealtime Review program will deliver up to 500 reviews to help residential aged care providers get ready for the new Aged Care Quality Standard 6: Food and nutrition, which starts 1 July, and to improve the food and dining experience for residents.
Prioritised through the program will be National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program providers; services from rural, remote and very remote communities; services that are smaller, with 60 residents or fewer; small and medium providers with no more than 10 services; and services with low scores on the Residents’ Experience Survey question, “Do you like the food here?”
Expressions of interest can be made here, and close 9 June.
