Support at Home program manual now available
To support sector readiness, an early version of the Support at Home program manual has been released. It has been made available to help providers comply with and understand the Support at Home program rules, procedures and obligations.
Not intended as legal or professional advice on the interpretation of legislation or how it applies to individual circumstances, rather the program manual is intended as a general guide for providers on the policy intent of the Support at Home program.
The manual covers: assistive technology and home modifications, budgets, care management and planning, end-of-life services pathway, participant contributions, restorative care pathway, and service delivery.
Information may be subject to change and an updated version of the program manual will be published once the Rules legislation is finalised. Providers should refer to the online version of the program manual to ensure they have the most recent version.
You can read the manual here, via the Australian Government’s Department of Health and Aged Care website.
