Arrest, charges follow alleged sexual assault of residents
The NSW Sex Crimes Squad has charged a woman over alleged sexual assault of aged care residents in Sydney’s Macarthur Region. In March 2025, an investigation under Strike Force Saddleworth into the alleged sexual offending of a 46-year-old woman was commenced by officers attached to State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad.
Detectives seized the woman’s phone as part of inquiries, and uncovered videos depicting sexual abuse being carried out against elderly patients at an aged care facility in Grasmere, where she was employed. It will further be alleged that the woman was sharing the videos of the assault with her partner, a 54-year-old man.
Recordings of bestiality — unrelated to the aged care facility — were also found by detectives on the phone. Strike force detectives — with assistance from the Public Order & Riot Squad — arrested a 54-year-old man in Heckenberg around 6:10 am on 23 April.
In a statement, NSW Police Force said at around 9 am on 24 April, “strike force detectives attended a correctional centre in Silverwater, where they charged a 46-year-old woman with four counts of aggravated sexual assault, 11 counts of aggravated sexual touching, two counts of sexual touching, 13 counts of record intimate image without consent, nine counts of distribute intimate image without consent and four counts of possessing bestiality material”.
NSW Police Force said it will be alleged in court that the woman committed and recorded the sexual offences against five men and two women at the facility between 4 August and 27 August 2024. All families of the victims identified by police have been spoken to, NSW Police Force said in its statement.
